- PLANTATIONS PROMOTE OPTIMAL GROWING CONDITIONS
- PLANTATIONS HAVE INTENSIVE TREE MANAGEMENT
- PLANTATIONS HAVE NO LIMITS ON HARVESTING
Unlike conventional forestry, our Acacia plantations are established to promote optimum growing conditions and thereby maximise returns. We plant on farmland enabling our clients to harvest all of their trees when they wish, which is not possible with conventional forestry where harvests are limited. Acacia forestry is intensively managed, weeded, pruned and irrigated which is unlikely to be the case with conventional forestry.
In order for our clients to understand the differences between these two types of forestry we have listed the key features of both:

Timber | Hardwood | Softwood |
Timber prices | High | Low |
Timber volume | High in 10 years | High in 60+ years |
Management | Intensive | Low |
Harvests allowed | No limit | Limited |
